Hide 'em in Your Heart

Just want to share briefly a wonderful moment we had with 5yo ds last night. We settled in at bedtime with his Sunday School take-home sheet (if it doesn't happen that night, it just doesn't happen). They had learned about Jesus blessing the children that day. As I reread the story to him, he suddenly gasped and exclaimed, "Let the little children come unto me...!" He was so excited (and so were we) when he realized what he knew. And this was weeks after studying the verse in Unit 1.

Thank you so much, Carrie, for a curriculum that does not treat the Bible as just another subject. HOD reaches our son's heart and mind--and mine, too.

Oh, how precious! That is why we homeschool moms do what we do, isn't it? :D I'm so glad God gave you that special moment with your ds, and I agree - HOD is a huge help to me with reaching my dc's hearts and sharing my faith too. :)

In Christ,
Julie

Kelley,

That is wonderful! :D I loved reading your post and "hearing" your excitement!
The connections made within HOD are really amazing. We have had great success with the Hide 'Em In Your Heart CD as well. We play it so much that I have a feeling that we will actually end up wearing it out! We also absolutely adore the CD (The Singing Bible) that is included in Little Hands To Heaven . We listen to both often.

It really is a blessing to see our kiddo's hearts come closer to God, and wonderfully satisying to know that we are on the "right track" with our homeschooling endeavors.

Candice :D

Kelley,

What a touching moment! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. I love to hear about those little hearts being open to the Lord and hiding God's word within them. God has used Steve Green in a mighty way! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
