ok... I cannot figure this out... I tried it (luckily) before I had the kids do it and all i get is a triangle... is that it?? am I doing it wrong? pictures would be wonderful

My daughter and I recently made the paper quail and mine looked a lot like a paper airplane! I do remember that the instructions said to hold the quail like a paper airplane and fly it so, that worked out great! I will say that my daughter did not care about the basic shape of the quail, she was much more concerned about decorating it...making pretty eyes, drawing the feathers on, making the beak etc. I think a triangle-shaped quail would be lovely and plenty fun to decorate!

ok... thanks... just making sure I wasn't missing something and it was supposed to be a bird shape I know they really won't care, but I didn't want to have it wrong.

I'm not sure if we did it right, but ours was a paper airplane shape, too. We just drew a beak and eyes at the pointed end and feathers on the back part. Dd and ds loved them even though they didn't look like actual quail.

Thank you that is what ours turned out like too (except we are still in the "markers are absolutely the most fantastic thing in the world" stage, so ours are just wonderful colors )
