Just something i did for my son because he was always asking how many lessons he had left and because he is so goal-oriented.

i made up a little chart for him with 5 columns (not days of week) across the top and the subjects along the side. i put "x"s in columns if we don't do subjects that day. i laminated it (or you could put it in a page protector) and then he takes a dry erase marker and colors the block in when he finishes that lesson.
at the end of the week , we erase everything and start over. it isn't very big so it fits nicely in his hands and school area.

this way he knows ahead of time what is expected of him for the day/week. We do everything pretty much in the same order on the chart everyday.
i don't know how to post the example of my chart, but hope my description is clear.

I have something like that too for my children. It makes the days/weeks go by much easier. This year I am introducing this to my son. My daughter loves her check off list but my son is still forgetting it but we just started using it. I have one for chores too.

Great idea! My oldest ds would like that. He is such a little list checker - he gets that from me, so I'd like it as well. We do something like that for my oldest, but I'm remembering your idea for my middle ds, as he loves to color and would really understand and enjoy this type of list.

Hi! I found one like this at the Dollar Tree! Great find! It was around the teacher/school supplies. It's a large thick piece of paper treated to be dry erase and comes with a dry erase marker. It's called a "Job Chart", but it has 15 blanks going down the left hand side and across the top the days of the week. I just wrote in the titles of the HOD boxes down the left hand side and they just check off what they have completed for each day in each of the "day" columns.
Was happy to find this already made for me and at only $1!

Great ideas! I am a box-checker by nature too, and I've had my kiddos check off their schedule too. Eventually, they know their schedule so well that they often stop checking items off their list physically and just shift to mentally checking off each item instead. However, I still love to have their list for reference, so I can double check their progress throughout the day!
