Praise for BLHFHG

Hi,
We've just finished our first week with BLHFHG. We had used LHFHG 2 years ago, when my oldest was in K. We did our own thing last year (which was good academically, but... just not as fun, try though I did! And second child just wasn't "connecting" with history/Bible lessons, etc.) We came back to HOD this year, largely b/c I wanted to really get the word of God woven throughout the day and have it relate more to our studies, character lessons, etc... in a fun way.
Well, this week, my dd told me that she thinks this is the most fun she's ever had in school! Awesome! This is our 3rd year of HSing, so... that motivates me to keep at it!
And my ds#1 also seems to be enjoying it. The activities and variety are great. I was surprised at how much the kids are enjoying the poetry. My dd loved to guess the title, and also do the activity in which the poem is cut up and she had to put it back together in order. Now I use Math U See, but I'm throwing in Carrie's "Fun Math" (as it's known at our house) now and then, as well. We did the bunnies in the Week 1, Day 5 carrot and cabbage patch math activity (making 6... did 10, too) today, and even my 3 year old can get in on the act! He joined us for making the shields today, and he likes to listen to the biography we're reading, too. I love how some of the activities, simplified, can engage my preschooler, too.
To my point, it is a blessing to have my kids enjoying school so much! We struggled with it sometimes last year. And even this summer, my kids were not excited about starting school again. I told them we were going to have more fun this year... and thanks to HOD, we are! What a blessing from the Lord!
Hope you all are blessed in your schools!
