We definately had fun digging in! As we were going through it, Evelyn found the Morning Bells devotional. Her response was "Oh Mama! You got some school for Lillian too!" She thought that because it was such a small book that it must be for the baby!
Unfortunately, my little guy didn't quite understand that he wasn't getting his own "box day". The next day, I excitedly called Joshua and Evelyn inside to show them something I had found that I thought they would enjoy as well. He came running in with a HUGE smile on his little face "Did my box of school stuff come too?". He thought that is why I was so excited. I made such a big deal over Evelyn's books coming in that I didn't even realize how it would make him look forward to receiving some of his own too. My heart broke for him as I realized, that because he will always follow his big sister, he never really WILL have his own box day excitement.
So I went shopping last night at Walmart. I bought him a little workbook (puzzles, mazes, shapes, etc.), an animal discovery book, a dry-erase book that has letters printed in it to trace/erase and an "I spy" book. I came home, put them all in a box, taped it shut and my husband put it out by our mail box.
This morning as I was fixing the childrens breakfast, he was skipping around the kitchen. I told him that he looked like he was in a happy mood, to which he replied "I AM! I think that today is the day MY box of school books will come!!!" Boy, was I glad I made a little box for him! Later in the day, after we saw the mail truck go by, Daddy and Joshua went to get the mail. What a grin on that little face! HUGE! He couldn't wait to open it. He was litterally jumping up and down like a little bean!

He can't wait till Monday when we officially start up school again for the year.
Both my kids are extremly excited! But then again......so is Mama!!!
I love your graphics!
they are fun!
