I was looking at using this for one of our read-alouds.
Can someone who is familiar with it please tell me if the cat speaks in human language?
The description I read online says the cat "almost" talks, so I am confused

!
Thanks so much to anyone who can clear this up for me!

Good Morning MommyInTraining,
We are in the 7th or 8th chapter and the cat has not talked in human language yet. I don't think he will.
If you have a cat (we have two), then you know that in their quirkiness, they seem to talk to you and communicate when in reality I'm sure it is not true.
I'm sure that is what is meant in the description. Maybe someone else who has finished the book can elaborate...
Have a great HOD day!!

We read it ages ago but no, I don't remember the cat actually talking.
It's more historical fiction than fantasy.
