Need penmanship help

I have been using HWT for several years for my dd10 and ds8. I have been bothered by the paper with the different lines for sometime but never chose to switch. My dd has used it for print and cursive and has done okay but not great. She is left-handed. My ds will start cursive this year for 3rd grade and I felt that if I was going to make a switch I had better do it now. I like the clean lines of HWT (never liked the Q looking like a 2). It is mainly the paper confusion. Would it be too confusing for me to switch my dd to something else as well? Would appreciate any assistance.

Hi Jeri! How are you doing? I hope your summer has been going well! I think cursive is somewhat a new slate with writing. I agree, if you're going to make a switch, this is a good time. We really enjoyed Cheerful Cursive, and we did A Reason for Handwriting prior to that. We found it easy to transition to Cheerful Cursive. Here's a link that tells more about Cheerful Cursive:

Italic is a good program as well. HTH!
