How many lessons/wk do you do in Reading Made Easy?

Hi!
I see that in RME that the author suggests 3 lessons/week with review 2 days. So...I was wondering how you all do that review and do any of you just do 5 lessons/week instead?
Please forgive all my questions, I'm a "check the box" person and need to have a plan before I begin. Wish I could just wing it though!
Thanks! God bless, Michelle

I usually did 2-3 lessons per week depending on my dd comprehension of the lessons. You will find as you progress that the lessons become rather lengthy and full of activities, my way of dealing with that was to do some of the activities one day and the rest the next day. We would read through the entire lesson both days, with the second day usually going faster than the first. Sometimes when my dd was struggling I would stretch the lesson and activities over three days. I never did more than 3 lessons a week, I think you will find 5 lessons a week to be too quick.

We used Saxon Phonics K last year, so I jumped in at lesson 12 (I think)...so far it has all been review so we are currently doing 5 lessons a week...I probably should have gone a little farther back in the book, but wanted to make sure he got the concept of how she codes. It has easily been review for him. We are also using the RME worksheets, which we are enjoying.
I plan to change to 3 days/ week once we get to new concepts...I had originally planned to do more phonics this summer, so that we would be closer to emerging readers, but the best laid plans...well you know!!
We have really enjoyed RME.
