LHands Bible question

Post by sted » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:09 pm

Can I substitute the Beginner's Bible for the Bible in Pictures recommendation in Little Hands? I am already getting the Beginner's Bible for an emerging reader and don't want to order two if I don't have to.

Thanks,
Shannon

I'm using it in Little Hands right now as I already had it here at home and I'll be moving in to LHFHG before long. The story of Cain and Abel isn't covered in the Beginner's Bible and it is covered in Little Hands. You can use your bible for that one (scripture references are given). There may be other stories to come like that (though I think they have similar topics covered over all). Other than that I haven't noticed an issue. You do have to remember that when you get to that level of HOD with the child they will have already seen the Beginner's Bible.

i have and i am using the Beginners Bible with Little Hands. sometimes some of the stories aren't in it and i just use my regular Bible. it has worked for us . i will also be using it for LHFHG in a few months with my emerging Reader. It went smooth for us.

Both the Child's First Bible and the New Bible In Pictures For Little Eyes are very geared to very young children...very very basic. I have them both and like them both.
