Our first day of school

Post by SoaringEagle » Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:44 pm

using LHFHG was today. It went very well. Too bad it can't be like that all of the time. I tried this curriculum last year and it just wasn't working with my dd. This year she is much more interested and even started participating in the rhymes in motion; until I hit her in the head by accident. I am very happy to see her enjoy it. I didn't want to switch to something else.
We did CLE math too and it went well. She wasn't too bothered by the lack of color. I do have Singapore Early Bird math book 2B that we need to finish but will wait till later on in the year, when the guide starts giving activities for it.
I am very encouraged by how well everything went. I know I won't have to switch this year!!! :D :D :D 8)

I'm glad things went well for you today!

It's funny how sometimes it just takes some time for them to be ready for certain things. My ds is not interested in LHFHG right now (for now he really wants to keep tagging along with big siblings). I'm wondering how he'll feel a year from now! We'll just have to see. Even a few months can make a huge difference sometimes.

I've found even a few months can make a big difference too, and I do think age and timing make a big difference for dc. The Lord makes it interesting because each child is different too! :D Have fun with your year doing LHFHG - you are off to a great start.
