My 7 year old's assessment...

I have to share this with you all. Last night I was sitting in our school room reviewing the BHFHG manual one last time before we started this morning. My cheery, bundle of energy, seven year old Sam pops in and peers over my shoulder. "Is this the curriculum we're using this year?" he asked. "It sure is" I replied. Then he gave his assessment of the manual. It was so cute AND so true. "If you are the teacher this looks like it would be easy to teach." "Why?' I asked. "Well you just make sure you do what the boxes tell you to do each day." I laughed and told him he was right.

Isn't is amazing that even our children can see that HOD is simple to use?! Obviously he couldn't pick up the manual and teach from it at his age, but he understands how it works and its layout. I thought it was just wonderful!

p.s. I have tried to teach from some manuals that I could barely understand, much less my children. Thank you Lord He led me to HOD! :D

Great observation! :) I agree it's so easy to use, and I am also thankful that the Lord led me to HOD. We are thoroughly enjoying it!

Your ds and I agree - I'm a huge fan of the boxes too! :D I enjoy just getting up and teaching each day. What a blessing!

Heather,

That is so cute! He must be a visual learner. I know that I am! Seriously though, I'm so glad that the layout of the manual seems to be a winner for many moms (visual or not)! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
