Oh My! I begin our journey today at 9AM! : )))
Hello Everyone,
Well, the day is FINALLY here. We (my son and I) begin our homeschool journey today. He is in kindergarten this year and this is completely new to both of us. I am very excited, but have those jitters also.
I am very curious to see how he responds to HOD. We begin at 9AM and it is only 7:40 here now. I already have my babies here for my childcare and they keep me busy ALL day. I am just praying hard that the schedule I have created will work out for my childcare and homeschooling.
I will pop back in later to let everyone know how our first day went. Please send us blessings and prayer for an awesome year!
I send each and everyone of you the same. Have a wonderful school year!!!

Hello Everyone!
Whew! I am one tired momma! : ) Instead of beginning half speed like I thought, we just jumped in at full-speed, and I am glad we did! We did everything, plus a little more. It was interesting and fun. YAY! : )
Our first day with LHFHG went very well. My babies from childcare went down at 9:30 and slept for nearly two hours. PERFECT teaching time. My son really enjoyed the Bible verse CD song, the Rhymes in motion, the devotional and the math.
He was zoning a little during History for Little Pilgrims, but it was time for a break anyway.
Later this afternoon, we did our Science which he enjoyed quite well also. He really seemed to be absorbing everything well, even though now when we ask him what he learned, he says "oh, I am not sure". Silly kid... that just means "I don't really want to talk about it right now because I am busy playing". : )))
With my schedule planned out I really did well teaching and managing my childcare too. I am so happy we were prepared for this and I am thrilled that HOD makes it that much easier by having it all laid out for me. THANK YOU!!!! I was so worried, but now I feel much more confident that I can make this happen in a wonderful way for my son.
We are looking forward to tomorrow! Everyone have a wonderful evening. : )))

HOORAY! You are living on the edge, full-speed diving in impromptu - I'm impressed. I'm so glad you had a great start with HOD, and each day just keeps bringing more joys!

JoyousBlessings,
It sounds like you had a terrific first day, especially with a house full of little ones! I'm so glad that the first day is over, as that always helps relieve some of the worrying that comes along with the start of a new venture!
I never sleep very well the night before our first day of school, and I've been teaching for over 20 years! So, those first day jitters never really go away!
Blessings,
Carrie
