Hello friends,

This is my first post on the HOD board, although I've been reading and "lurking" for over a year. I have learned so much from reading your messages and I almost feel like I "know" all of you! My family will be using three HOD programs this year (CTC with DS 11, BHFHG with DS 8, and LHFHG with DS 5). I also have an 8-year-old daughter who has some special needs and will be attending our local public school this year.

I had the pleasure of meeting both Carrie and Julie at the Southeast Homeschool Expo this past weekend and let me just say, they are as wonderful in real life as they seem on this board! I think I was one of the first people to arrive at the HOD table when they opened the doors of the exhibition hall on Friday morning (along with Judy, aka jensmom) and I got to order my CTC stuff live and in-person with the help of sweet Julie. We are eagerly awaiting our package to arrive in the mail so we can (hopefully) start school next week!

Anywho - just wanted to say "hello." I'm really looking forward to being "in the trenches" and swapping stories with all of you!

Hi Chandler and welcome! I am new to HOD too, I think there are lots of us newbies, how fun!

I look forward to hearing how things are going for you this year. We are also doing CTC and BLHFHG (along with LHTH ). We will have to take notes!

I also didn't make it to the Expo...wish I could have! We are in the metro area too. This is our first year with HOD and our 3rd homeschooling. We are looking forward to having a great year with HOD! Nice to "meet" you!

My son used the word "lurk" in his narration today. Big dilemma for me. Is it spelled l-e-r-k or l-u-r-k. Yea! that your post cleared it up for me. LOL And... yea! for no more lurking. Come join the fun!!!

I'll keep my eye out and we'll be looking forward to it, Judy! We live only about 20 minutes from Mayfield Dairy, but we've never been there. Ice cream and meeting new HOD friends......sounds like a FUN day!

Hi, and welcome from another newbie!

Hi Chandler - I was sooooo hoping you'd come out of lurkdom and post. We need another "lurkers unveil" week (I think we did that about a year ago as a post). It was such a nice surprise to have you be the first lady I had the privilege of helping at the open of the GA show. It set a happy tone for the rest of the day for me. We'll have to swap CTC stories here! I'm so glad you are here.
