for us, as I wrote on another thread we are adopting a little boy with CP, and I just had some people out to look at our house and it is going to cost us like $600 or more to build a wheelchair ramp on opur house and I am really discouraged, that is a lot more then we thought but we live on a hill so that complicates things. I am trying to sell some books and stuff online but don't know how much that will bring in. He was a shaken baby and has lived in an institution his whole life and we really want to bring him home. Sorry to ramble, but if you would please say a prayer that this will work out somehow.

Angie,

I will be praying for you as you prepare your home for Caleb. God will certainly show you the way.
Please let us know how things are progressing.
Would you like to post here or PM me about where you posted stuff for sale, maybe I (or others) would like to buy some of the stuff to help out?

Candice :D

Thank you, I am feeling better already just knowing that people are praying, the waiting for placement is so hard anyway, it is like being pregnant without a due date. Anyway yes, if anyone wants to see the books I am selling I posted them here:
http://sunshineandroses.wordpress.com/2 ... -for-sale/

there is not really anything HOD since we are still using it but there is some good stuff (IMO) like pathway readers and Christian kids explore.

Anyway, thanks agian for your prayers it really means a lot to me,

Angie,

Wow! I think it is so wonderful that you and your family are adopting this little boy who has never known what it is like to be a part of a family. I will be praying that God will work out all the details. If He has put this on your heart and called you to do it, then He will provide a way!

Praying for you! We had a lot of obstacles when we adopted our dd with CP in fact the first was the country told us no four times. It got really complicated with someone we knew that we asked to pray for us to open the doors instead of praying for us said they wanted to adopt her. Long story but we did eventually step aside for them to adopt her which was very hard but we wanted her to have a home and the country was telling us no because we had already adopted three. At the last minute they backed out and the country found out about what we had been through and said they would now allow us to adopt her after all. There were more bumps in the road after that because when we got there they were demonstrating against the US in country and we were told we might not be allowed to adopt her after all. In the end of course we got her. We had circumstances in our first adoption of our first three as well where God completely opened doors that looked as if they were slammed shut as well.

I think by now you are getting the idea, hahaha! God will open the doors. When I read your post the first thing that came to mind is could you ask your church to help. Perhaps there is someone that can build it for you or has the talent or even maybe the church would donate the money. Just came to my mind when I read your story. One thing I know from experience is if God calls you to adopt a child, especially a child with special needs, I know He is faithful to open the doors no matter what the circumstances are. And if He has opened your heart to adopt a child with so many needs I know He will be faithful provide a way for those needs to be met. I will be praying for your family. Keep knocking on those doors and just move forward. He'll open the path for you to bring your child home!

Just a quick question, have you thought about posting on Craigslist or Kijiji? I have sold many items that way.
Still praying,
