Last week, we had a not-so-good day of homeschooling. I really wondered if my kids got anything out of that day. We use BLHFHG. Love it! They day was bad because of the kids! Anyway, last week on our challenging day, we learned about 'run-on' sentences. My thought that day was that my kids pretty much hadn't heard a word I said.

Well, fast forward to this week. It's been a good week with homeschooling. We've been learning a new, and rather lengthy Bible verse. My almost 7 year old piped up after we practiced the L-O-N-G verse and asked in a sort of frustrated tone, "Mommy, was that a run-on sentence?"

Ahhhh...so they were listening.

   Too funny! I think it's safe to say run-on sentences have been learned. :) I have been surprised by my dc and what they remember too. We sang Holy, Holy, Holy with Bigger Hearts, and I thought the toddler was just playing tractors. This morning, he was singing the chorus of Holy, Holy, Holy with the radio - cheerfully be-bopping around the room, doing a little dance and singing. Then, the big boys joined in and sang too - I love those moments. :D They are what we live on as homeschool moms, and we need to remember them and cherish them on the days that don't go just so - because there will always be days like that too. :D

In Christ,
Julie

Don't forget to write those things down!
Isn't it great being a homeschool mom. (Even if it sometimes takes us a couple of days to remember it  )

Oh, I needed a laugh! That is too cute.

It's amazing what kiddos take in when we're sure they're not listening. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
