History Question

Post by siblack » Mon Jul 13, 2009 12:39 am

Hi,

I am new to HOD and am wondering... do Beyond or Bigger cover the US States, in US History? We plan on using Beyond this year, but I would like to touch on the States, as well, in the next year or two. Would I need to supplement?

Thanks!
Susan

I'm finishing up Beyond, then doing Bigger this fall. I haven't seen anything on the 50 states yet. I believe someone posted awhile ago that Carrie was going to add that into a to be written guide. It's easy to add it in if you really want to do so. That's what I'm doing, since my child is older (10).
I hope that helped!

Bigger Hearts does - but it will be studied more extensively in the later American History guide when the dc are older. We enjoyed the American history in both Beyond and Bigger Hearts immensely - if you haven't had the opportunity to check out the placement chart yet, that's a super place to start when deciding which program to use. We've found it very accurate for placing our dc - and that has made the years go so smoothly - here's a link to the chart:

Thank you so much for the comments, they helped very much! We just started Beyond two weeks ago, and are loving it!
