Bible recomendation for BHFHG

Does anyone have any recommendations for a bible to use with a BHFHG student? My dd (7) is going to be doing DITHOR level 2 so you can have an idea where she is at in her reading skills. My dd could use my bible of course, but I was not sure if there was one out there that was better suited for her age. She is my oldest and so far we only have children bibles on hand like the "Beginner's Bible." I am not sure if HOD has one that you would suggest in their bookshop.
Thanks and Blessings,
Ana Dawson

I have gotten a large print bible, in the translation the dh and I use, for my ds and he loves his adult bible

He reads his Memory verse to me first on Day 1 and a couple of the verses from Day 5, than I read the whole thing so he can listen, to answer the questions that are written in the guide.

We are also doing BHFHG in the fall. I just bought the New International Reader's Version Kids study Bible at a used book store. What a great find. Its for ages 6-10. It is written so that children can understand it.

We got the NIV Large Print Edition by Zondervan. There are so many wonderful Bibles out there, it is hard to choose - which is a great problem to have! We decided to stray away from a Bible with a ton of footnotes at this point, so that the main focus is just on the Word. Don't get me wrong - I am excited to be getting a Bible with the footnotes at some point for our ds - but not until he is quite a bit older. We also have shied away from Bibles that have personal stories written by modern day authors, since we'd like our dc to see that the Word of the Lord is exciting enough on its own merit. However, I know every family's goals for this may be a bit different, so I will pray that the Lord will guide you to the right choice for your dc!
In Christ,
Julie

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your recommendations. I will be going into San Antonio next week so I will look for one at Life Way while I am there. The only bookstore in my town is a small BDalton. Happy 4th of July.
Blessings,

I agree with Julie on the footnotes. I did not add it in, but I also choose a bible in it's simplest form without footnotes, because it can be confusing for they younger ones.
