Kids having tantrums over doing LHFHG

We started LHFHG about 2 weeks ago with my 4yo dd. Ds(1) likes to participate in the rhymes in motion and bible CD. I'm having an issue with them both throwing tantrums....because they LOVE it so much

They want to do the rhymes and listen to the music over and over again and get upset when I tell them we need to move on to something else. Dd is always disappointed when we have to stop reading the read-aloud and wants me to continue. It's such a great problem to have! Thanks Carrie, for such a terrific program that keeps the kids begging for more rather than begging for it to end!!

What a fantastic problem to have - I was just thinking of how I'm going to miss my dc being young and carefree like this! Children full of enthusiasm bring such joy and life to a home. I'm so glad Jesus' light is lighting up your days with HOD!
In Christ,
Julie

Lori,
I'm so glad that your kiddos are loving LHFHG! I have to admit I cringed over the title line, so I was thrilled to read the post!
Blessings,
Carrie

We are so loving LHFHG. We started it at the beginning of the summer. We don't do it everyday. We are finishing up Unit 3. There have been many days when my son has literally begged me to do it with him! I always feel so bad when I tell him no, but I've had to many days because we've had so much going on this summer. Just today, we went ahead and started back "officially", so now we won't be skipping days! He has made a total turn around in his attitude toward school since we started LHFHG. He loves the Thinking Games!
I thank God for it. I really do. He hated school for so much of last year.

Hahaha! We have similar issues. Not quite tantrums but I usually have to do Rhymes in motion 2-3 times and each time we do it shall we say it gets more dramatic. Lately they are learning to read more and that is dangerous. They go back pages and insist we did not do a science project or an art project and tell me what we must do. We are getting closer to the end of it so I think that is what is making them thing "hey let's redo it all".

I had to bring out Beyond to assure them that there were fun things to come there as well.
Anyway, glad you are loving it!

It's a blessing to have joy in their heart for learning. Enjoy it!
