We did Beyond this year and will be starting Bigger soon. I did not use the bible song CD as we did Awana'. but I'm thinkign about getting the hymn CD that goes with Bigger.

How have you or youd children liked it?

We loved the hymns! Especially because we got to read the stories about the authors that wrote them. The stories tell about the author and what the inspiration was for writing the hymn. I still get teary-eyed during some of the songs - it is amazing how some of these people wrote beautiful lyrics praising the Lord in the midst of hardship!

It has blessed my heart to hear my sons singing the hymns at church now. They used to kind of mumble their way through them when we sang at church, because they didn't know them very well. Now, whenever a hymn we sang with Bigger Hearts comes on, they are inspired and sing along with heart! Even my dh commented and asked what I did to get them so into the music? It is a favorite part of church for me now.

We have not used Bigger but have that particular Hymns CD at home and my kids and I love it. I even borrowed the 2nd CD/book in the Hymns for a Kid's Heart series from a good friend and it has been a hit in my family. The music is beautiful and my kids can love listening to the stories about the hymnwriters themselves. I am hoping to purchase all of the CD sets in that series eventually.

We have loved the hymns in Bigger this year. We're all enjoying hearing the history behind them as well. And, when my daughter's piano teacher comes to teach them on Mondays, we "save" our hymns for after that lesson, and my kids gather around the piano to sing while our teacher plays. It's a sweet time for them, and our piano teacher truly enjoys hearing them sing and get excited over older hymns! We don't usually hear the hymns from Bigger in church, as we go to a more contemporary service. So, this is the only way my kids hear most of these hymns.

We also LOVED the hymns in Bigger this year. My little 2 (who were 4 and 2 at the time) especially loved Holy, Holy, Holy. They love to sing it at home and are thrilled when we sing it at church. The CD has wonderful arrangements and I've enjoyed singing them with Grant.

We loved the hymns in Bigger Hearts too! We sang them at lunch and even my little ones could join in on the chorus. It brightened our day and made lunch a joyful time. At church, whenever a hymn comes up now that was in Bigger Hearts, my boys all look at one another and say, "We know this one"! Then, they sing with all their hearts!

We love them! We're only 2 weeks into Bigger but we owned two of the hymn books already. Hearing the story behind the hymn is fascinating. The books are really well done with lovely art and having the words right there has been so helpful.

DH loves that we're singing older, favorite hymns. It's truly a blessing to our whole family to have it scheduled... it gets done this way!

I want it because I love these older hymns! But usually only know the first verse and chorus.

Malenksha, we also will be doing Bigger for my ds8 and LHTH for dd 4 1/2
