I called to just talk to my sister about t-ball today. She lives in Georgia and I live in Louisiana. She had just heard that one of her friends from high school passed away of a heat stroke at 29 years old. He left behind a wife and 2 year old child.
It really hit home that someone so young could be gone so quick. She dated him in high school for a short time and it really hit her that he was gone so young.
I remember him hanging around with the group of friends my sister did and being in my parent's living room talking and laughing. I remember him being 16 and carefree. It is so sad and yet none of us know when we will leave this world. It really got me thinking about a lot of things.
Life is too short to bicker with my husband, life is too short to get aggravated over toys on the living room floor, life is too short to not tell all my loved ones how I feel, life is too short to not make sure I am on the right path and leading my children down that path also.
Life is too short...

Oh Val, I totally agree!
My brother died at the age of 12, and my died died at the age of 39, so I have had some experience first hand at seeing how short and precious life is. I so appreciate your great reminders though, as I am looking at my messy house right now getting pretty irritated! The messy house can wait, but the precious time I have with my husband and children can't. We only have one chance to lay a godly foundation for our children that will last for eternity. OK, I still would like to have my house a little more cleaned up
And it's true, they can be with us today, but we really don't know about tomorrow. It is still a challenge for me to make every moment count, thanks for the important reminder!
Blessings,
Shelly
