Cheerful Cursive

Is there anywhere I can see inside the Cheerful Cursive book? I don't like buying something without seeing a little bit of what it looks like inside.

Also, I started off with A Beka cursive with my son in kindergarten and he did great with the lower case cursive letters. But then couldn't handle writing words and sentences so we stopped. This year (2nd grade) I brought the book out and had him do a few letters a day a couple times a week and more recently had him copy a few words or a sentence.

He can't read cursive yet though and we've only worked a teeny bit on upper case cursive letters. Is Cheerful Cursive still a good place to re-start?

Thanks,
Katherine

I have never used Cheerful Cursive, but Abeka still sells the Writing with Phonics 2 from 1999 (before they pushed cursive in k4) and it transitions from manuscript (about 2 weeks worth of review) to cursive wonderfully. It is what I am using with my dd7. If you want to see some pages from it, pm me. It really is great.
I like Abeka but hate that they push cursive so young. Most people don't realize that they offer manuscript for k5, 1st, and a transitional manuscript to cursive for 2nd grade still.

I haven't used it, but my sil did last year with her dd. They loved it. She said it was a lot of fun and that her dd learned cursive very easily.

If you pm me with your e-mail I can mail you a sample that I received from the publisher.
I ended up getting it and am looking forward to using it.

If you go to the HOD photobook site, click on the Bigger Hearts photobook, choose full-screen, and look at page 4. It has samples of Cheerful Cursive you can see:

They're not big, but you can get a good idea how the general layout looks.
