R&S 2 or 3?

I will be using Beyond with my 1st and 3rd graders this coming year.
The past two years my son has done FLL. My question is, would that transition better into R&S 2 or 3?
(i am planning on doing the LA portion of Bigger with him).
Looking at R&S 2, it looks like much of what was covered in FLL. Would it be good for review sake/intro to R&S style to just have him do 2 and then 3 when we do Bigger the following year?

I've used R&S grammar with my two older kids all the way through, and the program gets quite meaty from 4th grade on. I would say to not get ahead of the schedule Carrie has planned. IMO, the ideal is to do grade 8 of the R&S grammar in high school--maybe even grade 7 as well. Sooooooooo much there.

R & S 3 introduces diagramming, if that's helpful to your decision. You could do either R & S 2 or 3 with Bigger Hearts. I wouldn't do 4 at that young of an age. I'd say do R & S 2 this year while you're doing Beyond, but that's just my 2 cents!

If you are looking for more of a review, then do Rod and Staff 2. If you are looking to pick up where you left off with FLL, then do Rod and Staff 3. :D
