My dh's job situation is up in the air. Basically, he has until May or June to find something else and we have LOTS of things coming up, including going to Florida to move my mom up here. Most if not all of the expenses for that are going to have to come out of our pockets. We truly believe this is what God wants us to do.... and I know that God is our provider.
I'm also really, really wanting to get started with HOD, but we can't do it until we know what's going on with hubby's job. So I guess I have both selfish and unselfish reasons for wanting to get it resolved. LOL.
Would you pray that our (and my mom's) needs will be met, and that dh's job thing is resolved very soon? Thank you.

Donna,
I will most certainly pray for you and your family.
I know those feelings of uncertainty when employment is unsettled. And then to add in a big move for your mom. Bless you for following God's direction with consideration to your mom.
Praying that you find comfort in knowing that God will equip you to make it through these experiences.
Please keep us posted!

Psalm 50:10! Praying God sells a few steers for you!
Living by faith is a wonderful and frightening experiance, but well worth it.

Donna,
Praying for you right now! We'll continue to pray for your mom and your husband's job situation too. There is power in prayer and comfort in knowing that your family is being blanketed with it.
Blessings,
Carrie

Donna...I really do understand....we've been through the job hunt! God has always been faithful and I know you will look back on this time in a few years and be able to see God's hand in shaping your future. God is good and He will provide!

Thank you all so much. I'll post when we have an answer from the Lord.
In the meantime, I did go ahead and buy Little Hearts at our local HS bookstore yesterday. I already have most of the materials that are used with it, so it was just the guide that I needed. I'm going to go ahead and start this again with my 5yo on Monday. I suspect my 9yo will sit in on the readings, too, as when we had LHFHG once before and started the first few lessons with Reddy Fox, both girls were loving it! It's funny, but at the time I didn't think the 5yo was really getting anything out of the readings. I thought they were "above" her head. But recently she found one of the books in the series here in the basement (which I'd gotten out of a bundle of freebies several years ago), and she recognized the cover style and thought it was Reddy Fox. She was so disappointed that it wasn't... and I was totally surprised!

Oh Donna,
I am SO sorry. I know it can be so scary
I mean I know the Lord knows my future but it's hard in our human state to "wait" and "trust". But on the other side of this your faith will be bigger than ever before. I am stopping right now and lifting you and your family up to the Lord my friend. May you feel "his" PERFECT and ABSOLUTE peace. (((Warm Cyber Hugs)))

Dear Donna,
My heart goes out to you! I just prayed for your family and your mother. It is difficult to wait for God's answer sometimes (I struggle with this!), but I know that He has something better in store for you. God honors men being the providers for their families, and He also upholds those who take care of their parents as they age. I firmly believe that when you align your lives with the teaching of the Bible - which you are doing an incredible job with - that God blesses that in His own way, in ways that often aren't apparent or made known to us while were in the midst of turmoil. May He be your strength, Donna, and may you feel His presence all around you lifting you up! You are already bringing our Saviour glory by choosing to turn to Him for help, rather than away from Him in frustration. May your faith continue to be a shining example to the rest of us! Please keep us posted with how we can continue to show our love for you with prayer.
