Rhymes for LHTH

Post by gmhaynes » Tue Jun 09, 2009 11:23 am

I am just starting to use LHTH and I love the program!! I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the rhymes? I am probably making way too hard. I really like the first one but some of the others I can't get to flow as well. I think the message is great but I am having a heard time getting it together. Any thoughts?

Mary,

We're glad to have you here! I'm so happy that you're getting a chance to use and enjoy LHTH. We have thoroughly enjoyed doing it with our boys as well. At our house, we just say the rhyme and do the motions. If it has a song to sing it to the tune of something, then we sing the rhyme instead.

The goal of the rhymes is to get kiddos coordinating their hand motions with their words, enhancing their ability to multi-task! Usuallly the first time I do a rhyme, I'll say a line and do the motion and then have my child repeat it after me. This helps them get used to the rhymes and motions going together. Then, later in the week we move toward doing the whole rhyme together without the "repeat after me" step in between. :D

I'll just move this post over to the main board where more moms will see it. All new posts begin on the Main Board. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
