Storytime for bedtime?

Ladies,
I am enjoying preparing for next year during these summer months. I may even begin early because we are so excited about HOD. Looking over my Bigger TG, I'm noticing some discussion and activites that go with "Storytime". Does anyone do this portion of the day at bedtime? How do you incorporate the discussion and activities?
Thank you

,
Cindy

I am trying this with my ds for LHFHG. He has never done chapter books before so I wanted a time when I would be completely sure we did not have interuptions from dd (she goes to bed an hour earlier).

I have done storytime at bedtime quite a bit. It works great in all the guides so far - just finished Bigger. Sometimes it breaks up our day better to do that and my husband can help too. In the long winter months, we especially love it. I think that's the beauty of homeschooling - it's not confined to a few hours of education in the morning. It's all day.

We often did ours at lunchtime, when my kiddos' minds were open and their mouths were full!

Seriously though, anytime you have a quiet audience (at a time when you're not likely to skip the reading aloud) is a good time to do Storytime.
Blessings,
Carrie

I haven't done this but I've been thinking about it.
