Getting so excited about starting LHTH

Post by spidermansmum » Mon May 11, 2009 11:14 am

My littlest one is only 29 months old and the plan is start in the fall.I just wanted to see how he would do [ i had my doubts-he has a little language delay and I was worried ]with the Bible and devotion ,so I thought we should just to try them out .We had a snuggle today as we did I looked at A Childs First Bible with him.I read the first story .He lovedit and he was asking for more so we read a few pages. He then turned to the story of Solomon and he sat there all snuggled up and listening to that .I then thought we should do a trial of Big Thoughts For Little People-we snuggled and read A and B and he was pointing to the answers.Im so impressed[both with my son and with LHTH].I cant wait to start this for real .I know we are going to love doing this

I'm so glad that it went well today. My son is almost 29 months and also has a language delay. Just working with LHTH the past few months has made a big difference in his speech. I'm sure it will be the same for you. My husband was a little leery of me starting with him this year b/c of the lack of talking. I started LHTH while hubby was working in Mexico for a month. When hubby came home he was amazed at the progress and even commented that our son was like a different child he had made so much progress.
I can't wait to hear how your year goes next year!

Sam,

That's so exciting! When my 6 year old and I were finishing our final unit of our LHFHG rhyme last week, my three year old was joining in and doing it with us! My hubby took a video of it and said, "He's definitely ready for LHTH!" I agree!

Blessings,
Carrie

This is so exciting! I loved snuggling with my dc when we enjoyed LHTH together too. It was wonderful to see the beginning of homeshcooling being so fun and effortless. Your ds sounds totally ready for LHTH - I bet you will hardly be able to wait to start now. :D

What a profound way to wow your dh with what your little one can do! :D My oldest ds had speech delays when we began LHTH too, and I cannot say how much good it did my heart to see him growing as we used LHTH. Thanks for sharing this, and I'm so glad your little guy is progressing so well. :D
