question about economizing Preparing

I am about to place an order for Preparing. I need to economize as much as possible. I have found a few of the higher priced items used, but still need to trim a little more from my shopping cart.

I plan to purchase (or already have) the Economy Package, the Science Adder, DITHOR guides, and R&S english. Oh, and the cd. Here's my question: out of the basic package history read-alouds and the self-study deluxe history package, are most of these books only scheduled for a week or two? There are definitely a few that I want to own, and I can tell that Draw & Write through History would be used all year. Are their others? The Young Christian's Intro to the Bible?

I'm in a huge metro library system, so I can easily get many of these books that I would only need for a couple of weeks. I plan on picking up the DITHOR books as we go along also.

Any advice?

Well, after looking at my library catalog and really crunching the numbers, it looks like it will be worth it to buy the basic package as is. I can save some money with the deluxe package if I get these books from my library:

Noah's Ark, Noah's Flood
Leif the Lucky
William Shakespeare and the Globe
Peter the Great

Are any of these used for more than 2-3 weeks? Or just so amazing that I would want to own them forever? :D

mariaw,

I can understand the need to economize! You can easily get the books you listed from your library if needed. Of course, I am partial to each of them and incredibly biased, but each of those particular titles are beautiful to look at as well as being wonderful to read. They are each shorter books, so it's up to you to decide whether to own or borrow. Either way you'll enjoy them immensely! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
