I am using Preparing with my twin girls next year. With the independent areas, would you have them work on them together or take turns with the materials?

Thanks

I'm on week 23 of Preparing with my 10yo twin girls. They have taken turns with the books without any trouble at all. :)

I was thinking take turns too, and now I feel especially good about recommending that because of Leslie's advice - since she's in the same exact situation. :D I could see it being easy to utilize the Independent History box and the Independent Science box somehow, since both of those are done completely independently and have different books. That would either give you some great time to work 1:1 with one while the other did those boxes, or if they did those boxes at the same time - switched books/boxes - and did them at the same time - you'd have an hour or so of time when both were working independently for you to... hmmm... do laundry, make lunch, take a coke break for yourself... :D!

Julie

I have three kids using the same books in Bigger for the extension and it has worked amazingly well. They just take turns reading and one reads before we even start school. It is actually pretty easy for them to share books. I am not doing Preparing but it is the same idea. I am surprised at how easy it has been. :D

Great! That would give me some extra time for that Coke and to work with the 2 little brothers.

Thank you ladies!
