Not Bible stories but the complete Bible. Do you have any suggestions?

I got my dd the NIrV. It's the NIV version but simplified a bit for approx 8 year olds.

Which NIrV? I noticed there's 2-3 choices.

I got DD the Princess Bible. Purple is NKJV and Pink is ICB. It's sparkley with a jewel clasp. We had her name engraved on the front. She loves it!

The ESV Children's Bible is hands down my favorite Children's Bible. It has so many beautiful pictures mixed in with the full ESV text.

Julie-
The NIrV I got for dd is pink with a dragonfly on the cover. Then we're giving ds the NIrV Adventures (or something like that) Bible for his 6th birthday this summer. I am pretty sure that the NIrV is the same across the board; they might have different commentary or covers, but the actual Bible part of it is the same.

I got both of ours at cbd.com.

The NIrV s are all the same, some just have devotions or study aids added. The Discover's Bible NIrV has larger type though which makes it easier to read. My son has that one. I bought my daughter the Beginner Bible NIrV and was dissappointed to see that the type is smaller and harder to read than my son's bible even though they are both NIrV. It's nice they both have the same version because they can folllow along with each other. But I much prefer the larger type.

We have the NIrV too. Ours is just a simple plain white Bible.

I've had the Adventurers Bible recommended to me by 2 people at church, so you might want to look at that too.

For straight out Bible reading, I love the Day by Day kids Bible by Henley (or Hendley). My 10 year old reads it every morning as part of our school.
