Math Question for CTC

I will be doing CTC with my 6th grade daughter next fall as a newbie to HOD. This year she will complete TT6 and has done well thus far. I have not yet given her a placement test for Singapore Math, but I have looked over the placement test and it looks like she is at above level 5A or 5B. Would it be worth it to switch curriculum for just one year of Singapore? Again, I realize that I may be surprised as to where she would place in Singapore math. I planned to wait until she completed TT6 before I actually tested her, but just wanted to ask advice in advance. I have had concerns with using Teaching Textbooks and that being that the student is given two chances to get the problem right before it is counted wrong. I don't want her to rely on always having two chances. Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks,
Patti

Patti,
I have the same concerns that you do with TT7 with my oldest son this year. I am not loving the fact that his grade/score is not affected by whether it takes two tries to get the answer correct either. It would be interesting to at least test your daughter to see how she comes out on the Singapore placement test, and then think about your options.
TT7 was quite painless for my son this year as he got straight A's, however I definitely think that Singapore is more challenging (as my other son is currently in 4A, and we're finding quite a few of the same concepts being explored as those in TT7).
Blessings,
Carrie

Teaching Textbooks. I think it's an online or DVD based math program and what Carrie recommends past Singapore 5B, right?

If it's for one year only and you would be going back to TT, I probably wouldn't change. But if you aren't liking TT and looking for something else than giving Singapore a try may be worth it. I plan on using TT once we get up higher. But there's so many bad reviews it seems. But I think it would really work for my DD>

I don't think I would use TT again, although it is very easy to work into the day and fairly painless for one that does not care for Math. One day my daughter was having a bad attitude day and was not really trying, and she missed every practice problem and took two tries for probably 70% of her math problems and when she finished she told me that she made a 100. I checked the grade book and she did receive a 100 because it does not count missed practice problems against you and one gets two tries for each problem before it is marked wrong.
Thank you for your advice. I will continue to pray about her Math curriculum and see where the Lord directs.
