Changes in LHFHG

Post by Tiffany » Fri Apr 24, 2009 5:56 pm

I was wondering if the only changes being planned in Little Hearts is the math, due to the change in Singapore. I would like to go ahead a purchase a teachers guide so I could get a sneek peak at it. I won't be needing it for a couple years but I didn't want to miss out on any other changes. I don't plan on using Singapore math so that won't effect me.

Where did you hear that there are changes in the works? Is there a thread somewhere? I'm planning on getting LHFHG in several months so I'd like to hear what is changing too!

Eventually, there will be changes to the Singapore math section due to the Earlybird Series workbooks being combine into one workbook. THough I don't know when those changes will be made.

Sharon,
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to alarm you. If you are planning on ordering soon it will not affect you. It was said in an earlier post that they have enough Singapore Earlybird math to last awhile. I was just wondering b/c *technically* I don't need the book for a couple of more years.

I wasn't necessarily alarmed, just wondering! But thanks for clarifying. I'm not planning on using LHFHG until Dec with my 3rd child, BUT if my 2nd child ends up needing it instead of Beyond, I'll be buying LHFHG as soon as I've stashed up enough money in my homeschool account. But if the issue is just the math, I probably won't worry about it either way. We can't really stick with a math schedule around here anyway. My children are enjoying Singapore math so much that they are asking to do multiple lessons each day (it's still easy to them since I placed them lower than necessary to get used to the program, plus it's so different from R&S!).
