Another question from me! I was wondering how much writing is involved in Bigger. My daughter is just learning to write (I mean sentences, paragraphs, etc.) but my son is going to be learning this year how to write a 5-paragraph essay. Just wondering if the writing in Bigger will be challenging enough for him next year. Is it covered in Beginning Wisely 3?

We're doing Bigger... now, and there is writing in the notebooking, copywork, dictation, cursive, and grammar (along with the DITHOR writing, if you are doing that). I think it is enough writing for what you are describing, but I'm not sure if that's exactly what you wanted to know or not. I think the notebooking would be one very easy way to add in more writing if you get going with it and want to do more. Also, if you are doing DITHOR, we used to use the genre descriptions for simple creative writing assignments too, so that would be another very easy way to do more. I really do think there is enough writing there, but then I'm thinking of my son, and your dc may be different! HTH!

If you really feel you need more writing, Carrie does have a writing program recommendation here http://www.heartofdakota.com/drawn-into ... ations.php , that goes well with Beginning Wisely (or Language Lessons For the Elementary Child) and DITHOR 4/5-it's called Igniting Your Writing.
