Laundry Flakes...can you help me?

Ok...this is probably a dumb question...but are laundry flakes the same thing as powdered/grainy (non-liquid) laundry detergent? (Can you tell that I've always used liquid laundry detergent? I can't even ask my question intelligently. )

I'm leaving my husband to do school with the kids on Friday morning while I get to go to the homeschool conference in Kansas City with friends!! :D So, when I was looking to see what I was going to miss today, I wasn't sure what laundry flakes were. It's for the science experiment on Unit 28 Day 5.

I'm so jealous...I wish we were back in the midwest so I could go!! Our MD HS conference is this weekend, but between a shift at the hospital and opening day of tball (with a parade into the field and calling all the players) I'm not going to be able to make it...and Carrie won't be there...

As for your laundry flakes I'm a liquid user too..I'll be interested to find out

Laundry flakes are different than laundry powder. Ivory used to make soap flakes, I don't know if you get soap flakes at Wal-Mart or not. Haven't gotten to that unit yet.

Kathleen,

It also works with plain old dry (powdered) laundry detergent, because we had to do the activity with that last time at our house. You may just have to use a bit extra.

Carrie

I'll try that tomorrow. (Mike skipped that one, but successfully did the rest of the school day! :D ) This is the 1st thing that I haven't had handy in our 140 HOD days of plans - good writing, Carrie! :D :D

It was so great to see you, Carrie and Julie! :D If I wasn't keeping you from being able to tell other moms about HOD, I would have loved to hang out with you ALL day.

Kathleen,

It was wonderful to see you in Kansas City too! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to visit, even if it was all too short! :D I'm impressed that Mike was able to do school. My own Mike did school while I was gone too, and he is not a teacher by nature at all! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
