I'm hoping R&S users will advise me with regard to the TM. It seems as though grade with 4 and up it is a certainty, but I'm curious what the consensus is for grade 3?
Thoughts appreciated,

I liked having it because there was a daily oral review or quiz that was listed only in the TM--I'm pretty sure this is in #3. I also used the worksheets and tests--answers are in the back of the TM.

In a word...
YES!
Unless you were an English major in college, I'd highly recommend it. I believed myself to have very strong language skills and I am still amazed at how much I need that manual.
Also, what I love about it is EVERY SINGLE LESSON includes a few, oral, warm-up review questions. I could be a spokesperson for R&S 3 I just love it so much.

Yes - we got the TM starting with 3, and the oral review has been key! Very good for cementing concepts. We didn't need it for R & S 2, but by 3, it was nice to have.

Thanks ladies. The concensus is a resounding "Yes!", so I'll be purchasing the TM's .
I just received the student books for grades 3 and 5 in the past couple of days and they're beautiful! I've seen them several times over our 11 years of homeschooling and never gave them a chance. How could I have overlooked these gems for so long?
