Tansy,

Thanks so much for sharing your blog with us! :D We couldn't be happier that you have found your match and know she will be so blessed to be a part of such a loving family.

I appreciated getting a glimpse into the adoption process and getting to see it through your eyes. I loved the part when you told your daughter that you were crying tears of joy. It brought tears to my eyes too.

Blessings,
Carrie

Tansy how awesome! It never turns out how you think but exactly as how God plans. I set out for one young as possible, no older than 6 months old, baby and was not open to special needs. Within five months time I had four kids ages 2 1/2 and had to do two trips because my papers said no special needs and I fell in love. We had our second year anniversary with four kids.
It's never what you plan but perfect just the same!

Congratulations!

Oh but just one thing...you are not only the adoptive mom...You are the real mom! It does not get any realer than adoption!

Tansy, your post was beautiful and very touching. When my sis adopted her ds fro Russia, she received a scrapbook made by a lady at her church. It had a poem in it about being the "real" mom because this child was born in her heart. I wish I could remember exactly how it went...it made all of us cry. My family and I sometimes even forget that this sweet boy was adopted!

Please keep us all posted on your adoption! Everyone here is praying for your family!

Awe You gals are so sweet! it really helps to hear you are praying!

I know I'm the real Mom :) My dd is at that stage where she is asking questions about her Birth mother. So I'm dealing with that too. I'm Her Mama And that will never change but Just as a very wise woman once said to me An Adoption speaker on issues of attachment. "This truth should never hurt, give yourself and your child permission to say "Your not my real daughter" or "your not my real Mother." Because its in part truth. And deep down they will know, you love em enough to face anything together.
