Using Weekly or Subject Planner

Do any of you all transfer the HOD plan to a weekly or a subject planner? We're needing to add some therapy for one of my children into the schedule and I also already only school four days a week. Just curious for those that do use a planner, could share what you do? How often you "transfer" the plans and what system has worked best for you?

By the way, I'm not thinking any transfer of everything, but my idea is to do more of a "week at a glance" kind of thing for each week (telling me to do "Days 1 & 2 of history....on Tuesday" OR possibly doing a subject planner ( should because next year I won't always be able to do things on the "right" days. I'd love to hear your ideas!

That's kind of what I do. I just put the Unit and the day in my calendar. It works! :D

I like to be able to look at the whole week in advance...I will probably do something like the previous poster and just write the lesson. If you have a lakeshore learning they have a great planner. Or you can check out online. You can open it and see your week at a glance...it is obviously geared to a "school" setting but I make it work.

I use a week at a glance calendar to keep track of where we are, to add in in extras like picture study, art, God's World News, geography and my dd's outside stuff, craft days, park days, parties and her swim and sign language classes. It helps me from overscheduling! It sounds like there's a lot on our plate, but by using the weekat a gkance calendar I am able to kepp the "extras" down to no more 2 a day, usually only one though. At the top of each day I wrote the unit and day, like so Unit 23:4, I don't have to write in the guides by doing this, I also write in which phonics lesson we are doing and which activities we are doing with it. This really helps me to keep track of our school day and our day overall.

Blessings!
