How would I schedule these and the Famous Men books for older ones.
I am not good at scheduling and need some suggestions.
I would like for her to do these on Fridays.

For Augustus Caesar's World my oldest son read 12-14 pg. each session. At that pace, it would take 27 weeks of once a week readings to finish it. You may wish to have her do it twice weekly to finish 13-14 weeks instead to allow time to read a couple other books.

For Famous Men of Modern Times, you could have your daughter read 2 sections a session is a good amount. At that pace, it would take 16-17 reading sessions to finish that book. You could again do it twice weekly to be finished in 8-9 weeks.

The Famous Men of the Middle Ages could also be read at a pace of 2 sections a session. It would take 18 sessions at once a week readings or 9 weeks at twice a week readings.

The Famous Men of the Renaissance and Reformation could also be read at a pace of 2 sections a session. That would take 14-15 sessions at once a week readings or 7-8 weeks at twice a week readings.

At the twice a week pace your older child could pretty much read all of the books I listed above in a 36 week year (without it being too much in any one reading session). If you do have your child narrate to you after the readings (either orally or writing) make sure to only have her only choose one of the sections to narrate upon. This is what we did with our oldest son, and it worked well.

Be warned that there is some content in all of these books that discusses pagan gods and violence, which is why we didn't put them in our curriculum guides. However, for an older student you would most likely be able to work through these problems and still gain from reading the books.

o.k. I am confused again.
Do you suggest Augustus Caesar's world and the the famous men books for the Ancients program? Where do you suggest that? I have never seen/heard that anywhere?

It is not suggested in the Ancients program.
This is just for people using Preparing that might want to beef it up for 7th and 8th graders.
There is a post somewhere about it, but I can't find it again.
