In looking over this for next year I noticed that the activities at the end of each genre seem to work best with groups of children. Since my ds will be the only one being hsed will I still be able to do these? I didn't order the project book, would that make a difference? He will be doing Level 4/5 so I guess I would need the level 6 project book.

Lynn,

When I had only one child in DITHR, we actually did all of the group projects in DITHR by having me be the "group" along with the child. Together the two of us really enjoyed the group projects. :D

Otherwise, the Biblical character project works well alone and so does the book project. You'd need to order the Book Projects to Send Home for Level 5 to do the book project, as the Level 4 Book Projects to Send Home are out of print.

Blessings,
Carrie

Lynn,

I'm using DITHOR with my oldest this year (and he's the only one doing it), and we're having a blast with it. The projects have been our favorite parts! :D We've only used the "group" option once, but it worked well. He planned a radio drama to go with his mystery, and assigned parts to himself, Dad, and me. Allison and Garret even did sound effects! They took their job so seriously...it was hilarious! :D We had a lot of fun with it! So, if the group project appeals to your child, your family can be the group - even preschoolers love to get in on the action!
