Kathleen, I see you went from Saxon 2 to Singapore 2. How did you find the transition? Did your child adapt well? Did you find from saxon 2 to Singapore 2A was the right place?
Intrested in anyone else's views too.
I have a saxon 1 and 2 student I'll be moving into Singapore.

Yep! We went from Saxon 2 to Singapore 2A. It was a pretty much seamless transition for us. Here is the link for the free placement tests for Singapore.
http://www.singaporemath.com/Placement_Test_s/86.htm My son technically passed the 2A test (scored over 80%), but I could see that there were some holes in things that we hadn't covered. I'm so glad that we started where we did because things were presented in a little different way, and it's really helped us move on confidently in math.
I had planned on skipping some of 2A, but then worked through it as written. I started it over the summer, but we didn't get very far with some unforseen circumstances that kept us from it last summer.
We love it!

Great! I think I'll have her do 2a too. My printer isn't up so I can't print off the test...but I know she's not ready for Singapore 3. 2 looks about right.
