Got our box yesterday and started right away!

Our box came in yesterday for my K-er (LHFHG), and he was so excited that he wanted to start right then! Let me tell you, it literally is "open and go!" 
This is my son who has resisted school, and has never wanted to talk about what he's learned. But last night at dinner, he said, "Daddy! We did FUN school today! And I was READING WORDS!" We did a few pages out of The Reading Lesson, and he was able to "blend" for the first time. Then he went to his bookshelf, got The Fire Cat and The Cat in the Hat and proceeded to find all the places where there was the word "cat" while sounding out a few other simple words in the process!!
I wanted to cry. This was not the child who has been living in my house for the last 6 years!! Thank you! We're so excited to continue on. This was the first curriculum I've ever used (with any of my kids) that seemed to have the perfect amount of time for each section. Any more, and he wouldn't have remembered anything.
