Finally settled in myself how I am going to do a long LHFG

I finally got settled on how I am stretching out LHFG so my kids will land on Beyond at a good level for both of them. I spent a whole half day looking at all the things that I really want to cover with my girls that is kind of extra for the next two years that I already have and then was happy to find I already had many of the appendix sources as well. And then I looked way ahead again because I am tortured this way. I made myself a little grid for side A and side B for each day and wrote in either appendix or whatever I added as a resource for a little master chart. Now I am on auto pilot the way I like it.

Anyway I came to something that I am really excited about doing, which I was already but now I am actually excited NOW about doing it slow. It is going to allow my girls not only to get more by using the appendix but also to use the Ergermeier's (which also is in the appendix as a source) and do a chronological Bible story study through the entire Bible over the next couple of years. So I am really excited about doing that. We start it after we get through the 101 Bible Stories ends. So by the time we are done they are going to have really good bible story knowledge. And that is perfect for what I want for them! Plus I will get to use that emerging reader list with my almost 6 year old before Beyond and then she can do the other things while my youngest gets to use it. I will have used it three times before I am done. I love the way you can take parts from one program and use it for another. 8)

Anyway if none of that makes sense...I will just say that I am doing the Happy dance!

You are too funny, W2W!

I am doing the toss-up right now about puchasing Little Hearts... to look through and get a better feel. But, I want to do that w/ a book for my ds10, too and I don't know if I can do both. KWIM? I also want to save by purchasing the pkgs, so ...

You know what is so funny is that it really is all about the kids, really it is. BUT I have to admit in that there is a I have to be excited too. I'm sold on HOD, it was really just that I did not consider HOD when birthing and adopting my children. If I had maybe I would have done a better job with the ages and what program when would be a little more clear...Hehehe
OK kidding really I am.

Poor guys just want to chase bugs in the back yard and I already have their future planed until the 8th grade. And it's not enough that I plan it then I have to tweak it too. What a case. Oh well they are durable little critters. They'll survive.
