DITHOR...oops!

Post by deltagal » Sat Mar 14, 2009 4:01 pm

My son just begn working in DITHOR this week. It is going quite well. He's reading The Black Stallion. Anyhow, yesterday morning I noticed he was reading and I thought it seemed to be taking a bit longer than usual, but no big deal. However, a little later he leapt out of his chair and said, "Oh, no, I forgot to stop. It's just so good, mom. I forgot to stop reading and I've almost finished the book!" Of course, I laughed with him and said, "Wonderful! Now you'll get to read it again in smaller increments for your literature study." He's quite pleased with himself and delighted by what a GREAT new piece this is that we've added to his day. Thanks again, HOD.
With Joy!

Florence,

I'm so glad that your little guy is so joyful about his new part of his day. I often have to pop-in to see what's taking my boys so long with their DITHR books, only to find out that they're reading onward past their scheduled stopping point. Black Stallion is SUCH a good book! :D My son is reading Naya Nuki for DITHR right now, and he can hardly stand the anticipation of what will happen next. :D

Happy reading!

Blessings,
Carrie
