I'm so excited and proud of my daughter.

Yesterday she read Dr. Suess's
Green Eggs and Ham to me! She struggled a bit over a couple of words but overall did fabulous!!!

So as her reward, I made green eggs (scrambled) and sausage (we didn't have any ham) for breakfast. The kids thought that was super fun! Although I must admit....I wouldn't eat them...they
looked NASTY!
This is the first "big" book that she has read!!!!

Isn't that just the best feeling! It is doubly satisfying as a hs mom because you really had a part in that. What a great way to celebrate her first book! She'll remember that ALWAYS!

That is so awesome!!!!

And I agree with a pp... one of the best things about homeschooling is knowing that this was all you and your dd working together to cross this milestone. What a great way to start off your day

(Even if you couldn't eat the eggs

Kelly,
HOORAY for your daughter! What a proud mama moment! Thanks for sharing.
I don't think I could eat the green eggs either!
Blessings,
Carrie

Kelly - Tell Evelyn, "That's great!" How exciting! I bet she was proud of herself, too.
I love your green eggs!

I made some for Grant when he was little. They really don't taste different - but they do look disgusting!
