Ok so I ordered a we bit early for next year. But the cash was here and I wanted to get it while the getting was good (and dh is in stock up mode so I used that to my advantage, hehehe!). I will say just this, the only thing that is more agonizing than seeing what is in the program but not seeing the manual is having the book and wondering how do they all come together. But I will tell you this I am so happy with the selections. The books are amazing! What an awesome program this is going to be. I was so excited looking through the books today and then I remembered that some of the great stuff I already had on my shelf that is in CTC (yeah!). I think half the program even would have been awesome but the full thing is kind of mind blowing. You know it is going to be great when Carrie weaves it all together with her magic in the TM that will be happily united with my nice pretty books in August. These are for the kids, um right. Hahaha!

And I want to say that if you have done Ancients with another program if you could see all the resources (even without the TM) you are going to realize that you have not really done Ancients until you have done it with HOD. Our family has covered it pretty much from the biblical standpoint and some other resources. There is not a program that comes close to all that is in HOD and I would have no problem repeating this time period if I had done another program just to do it the HOD way. Hands down even with out the TM I can tell this program is going to rock your socks off!

What great resources! We can't wait to use them all. :D I am thinking I might need a lock on the closet to keep the kids away from all the pretty books though. And can you tell I am just a little excited to use it too.( I need a smilie that jumps up and down) Luckily we won't be done with everything else we have HOD until about August maybe Sept anyway or else I would have a very hard time waiting until August to get going. We love the HOD we are doing but it is nice slice of Heaven knowing what is to come and having it on the shelf. :D Just had to share.

I completely agree with this! We have already done the Ancients with what I've heard called the "Cadillac" of history programs. After looking through the books I KNOW that for us this is going to be sooo much better! I can't wait for the TM to get here so I can see what is planned out for us!

The content of these resources is just awesome!!!

Oh! I'm so excited, ladies that you're excited! :D As I'm writing the guide, I'm finding the content in the books to be even richer upon very slow studied inspection, which is a wonderful blessing. We read all of the books for content in the screening phase, but as we write we go back through with a fine-tooth comb. I have to say these books are blessing me in my walk with the Lord. What an amazing God we serve! :D

I am so excited to have my next son go through this program, as my first experience through the ancients was with my oldest son in Sonlight years ago. This is such a different program from what he had then. I pray you'll each find it to be deep and meaningful and that it will draw your kiddos ever closer in their relationship to the Lord. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
