I ordered!!!

Ok, I finally decided to quit obsessing! I ordered Bigger and everything that could possibly go with it except math. I still need to beat my head on the wall about that for just a while longer. Mike said it would ship today(I ordered yesterday). I can't wait to see it. We will start it in the fall. My son is finishing up his BJU 2 subjects on Harddrive this Friday but my younger daughter won't finish until the end of Mary. Does anyone have any suggestions to keep him busy learning until then?

That's awesome, Dawn!
I'm so glad for you, and Mike and the boys are super-fast-shippers, so you should have that treasure in your hands in no time!
Hmmmm, what to do with ds finishing? You could being Drawn into the Heart of Reading - I'm not sure if you ordered that or not, but that would be great to start that and get used to it. You could really enjoy some really great books and discussions! I did DITHOR the summer before I "officially" began it for the school year with my oldest ds, and we just loved lingering with it, had some great discussions, and fun just reading together for it with no rushing to get to other subjects. It's still a fond memory of mine.
Math flashcards are always an in-between thing we do too. Read alouds are neat to do too - you could check out the Beyond read-alouds and do any of those that strike your fancy if you wanted. You could start the Bigger Hearts spelling list with the directions in the LA box, and then when you hit the school year, either finish up the spelling list and then begin the dictation, or just start the dictation depending on where he fits best after summer. We always love to do a nature journal around here too. That is low key and fun. You could also order the One Small Square: Backyard book and do those science activities in your own backyard if the weather is nice.
In Christ ,
Julie
