New Here With More Questions About Beyond.....

Hi All. I posted once before and you all were very helpful. I have been reading.....reading.....reading many of the posts on this message board and in the archives. I tend to research something to death before making a decision. The more I research the more impressed I am with HOD. I wish this had been around when my older ones were starting out. Now 2 of my dc are in college and my baby is in 10th grade. I am now homeschooling my niece. When my kids were little, I had to put all this stuff together myself to teach like I wanted to. I am comfortable with doing that, but to be honest I'm tired of doing that. It's so nice to have something that's done for you so you can just enjoy teaching! NOW for my questions......Does Beyond have them learning the Pledge of Allegiance? and do they learn about national holidays? Also, have any of you used "Wee Sing America" or "Celebrate America" for patriotic songs to go along with Beyond? I was just wondering. So far it looks like Beyond is pretty comprehensive and I really don't intend on adding anything except maybe more music or art since my niece really loves both.
In closing, I just wanted to add that I have been involved in several online "groups" and message boards over the past 10 years or so and you ladies have something special here that I've only seen on maybe one other board. It's refreshing to be amongst "real" women living "real" lives and I also appreciate that there's no sense of competition on this board, but only a sincere desire to help and encourage the others in this homeschooling journey. Kudos!
Blessings,
Kathy
PS. I haven't figured out yet how to do all the fancy stuff (Emoticons, signatures, etc.....)
