Is it possible to use the new standards ed. with HOD or does it cause too much confusion when using the HOD guides? Thanks!

playschool,
The standards edition won't align with HOD's plans. We actually prefer the U.S. Edition, as it's much closer to the original way that Singapore math was written.

The standards edition has been added to and reworked quite a bit to make it like most other U.S. programs out there, taking away much of what made the original Singapore math a breath of fresh air.
Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you! That pretty much answers my questions. The only reason why I was more attracted to the New Standards Ed. was because it incorporated English measures in along with the metric. I believe that the U.S. only teaches the metric system. I am sure that I can incorporate some of my own things to teach the English system of measure though.

playschool,
The U.S. edition actually does include U.S. customary units of measure and money. Thats what makes it the U.S. Edition. The original Singapore edition (prior to the U.S. edition) used only the metric system.

Carrie
