Timeline Question

I loved the recent post that showed the picture of the timeline done on one large sheet of paper. I would like to have my kids do their own timelines like this. We have a big one on the wall in the basement, but it is not very useful since we now do school upstairs. My question is, do you have your kids draw their own pictures on? Or did you purchase timeline figures? I have some figures, so I suppose I could give my kids the option. I was just curious what you all were doing? Also, can you use the same timeline for Bigger? Or is it better to do two separate ones?

Patience,

I haven't seen the recent post that you're talking about...I've been MIA recently. (We've been enjoying some nice warm weather peppered in with the remnants of winter here! :D ) Anyway, I can tell you that you will be keeping a new timeline for Bigger. It's suggested to use a file folder and make a grid on it with the years labeled as directed in the guide. I had a 5 cent folder from Wal-Mart and printed off a homemade grid from Excel and that was faster for me that measuring and making straight lines. Then I used double-sided tape to attach it to the folder. Here's a picture from the beginning of the year. (I should take a new one...it's really grown!)

Hi, :)
I think that was Julie's son with the timeline from PHFHG. In that program we draw our own pics that are suggested in the TM. It is very fun. The pics are drawn on index card that are cut in half. I have not done Bigger so I can't help you there. :D
