Could you do LHFG Twice this way?

Just thinking...could I do LHFG again if I used the things in the appendix and upped the math, science, Bible, and read the suggested reading for each unit? Then just do the devotion as is and the devotion rhymes and all that again. Used some of the other title Burgess books not in the program, or even the Book of Virtues, or both?

Here's what I am thinking. Do BHFG again Using all the sources in the appendix and possibly adding Girls Interest as Read aloud Story time
6 1/2 year old does Emerging readers.
4 1/2 does phonics some Bob's Books

The year after that we do Beyond
7 1/2 year old does DITHR 2/3
5 1/2 Emerging Reader
Classic Interest reading pack

Next year both do Bigger and younger does Beyond LA.

Is this feasible? I am thinking this is good in my head but...?

It essentially will come out like doing both LHFG and BLHFG slow but will appease my kids who remind me if we skip anything and are beside themselves. Essentially they are wearing me down.

I almost did Beyond again.. but the bigger looked so good I had to get it..

I wouldn't nescerrly use burgess books again, I woudl choose my childhood favorites like 5 little peppers and how they grew.

W2W....that sounds like it could work and would definately be getting the most "bang for your buck"! It seems you have just created the "extension pack" for Little Hearts. It would also be a good way to use Little Hearts and Preparing at the same time with your olders and youngers.

My kids really like the Burgess books and we have even found some at our library and read them. They are all good! There was one about Mr. Quail they really liked. We also like the Book of Virtues.

Hehehe! I was just thinking hey since they love it so much why not do it again on a deeper level with the other books. :D My two littlest girls just really want their full day of school. No matter what I do "extra" they seem to want the other side of the page and will tell me what they missed. It's like they feel cheated or something. They love LHFG!

I recommend you hide the teachers manuel... If they can't see it they don't know they have ben cheated... I can see you now with the book in a black bag... nah it won't work... not with 6 of em to keep track of.

Ha! Are you kidding it's the littlest two that have it down cold! She will tell me exactly what we skipped. She wants all her "big girl" stuff. And besides there is a thin line between hide and lose in my house.

Ok I think I got my own question answered in my mind. I think instead of using it twice I will just use all the extra stuff in the back to fill in the gaps to make it a longer program for us. That way I will not have these little kids chirping at me for more all the time. Plus it just makes it deeper and we will make that stretch things out. That actually is seeming like the obvious answer to me. :?: I will just have to reprogram their heads.
