Ladies, I have to tell you that I received the books in the mail yesterday for this program and I was just blown away!

The books are sooo rich! I love the writing style of the Guerber book. The Ruth Beechick book Genesis: Finding our Roots looks so great! I have heard of this book but I have never seen it...Wow we are going to learn so much! And the Child's Geography book looks fantastic, my dd loves geography and she can't wait to get started on this book!! Everything really looks so meaty and wonderful. I must confess to being a "tweaker", but there will not be any tweaking here!

I want to "Thank You" so much Carrie, I haven't been excited about school in a while and just recently went back to using HOD. Early in this new year I was even having thoughts of maybe they would be better off in school. BUT, as we started back in HOD the godly content and the bible portions of your program just put me back on track, it pulled us together, and made me focus on what was important! My pilot light is back on again!

This new program has really lifted a weight off of me! I am fired up again, even dh noticed when he came in from work.

That's what I was thinking too as I read this! And how will you keep the kiddos out of the books too?

Oh, Sharon! That's so good to hear!! I love to hear about moms being rejuvinated and excited to school again. My enthusiasm is such an important part of our schooling too, since if mom's feeling down-trodden no one's too excited.

We are starting Bigger on Monday and the girls are excited to be doing American History. My oldest hasn't really had much AH yet so she is excited about it all!
The girls like to do extra art projects, we are big on those around here, and I have some kits from Hands & Hearts and the Corps of Rediscovery that they are really looking forward too. So they aren't in to big of a rush to move on from Bigger yet!

I will separate the girls when we start school back up in January and younger will start Preparing and older will do Ancients!

I'm glad your girls are excited to start American history! My boys have enjoyed it too! It sounds like you have a good plan for what's ahead for your girls. I love having a plan! I feel much more settled and peaceful when I do (even though my plans often end up changing, I like having a general compass on where I'm heading)!
